  • Long term or short term writing partners. Please be 21+ I am open to dark or mature themes so long as they fit the story and the characters. Romance or erp is a possibility but not a given.

  • Light-hearted or slice-of-life is welcomed. Zora is insatiably curious and exploring new ideas or new experiences is something she seeks out.

  • I am 21+ and I in US PST. WU/T is fine if I'm wearing the RP tag feel free to approach IC. Otherwise, an OOC approach, either a whisper in game or a DM in discord and we can set up a situation in which our character's meet.

  • I match my writing partner's style generally 1-3 paragraphs.

  • Discord is the community's lifeblood, perhaps we share a server, If not my ID can be provided upon request. I strongly prefer to roleplay in game, though continuations and short scenes in Discord are possible if the situation calls for it.

  • I believe in consent and communication I expect my writing partners to practice the same.

  • I am not Zora, we sometimes share opinions or interests, but her actions and views are her own. Often, I'm barely in control of her. Please keep IC and OOC separate.

the past. 

Zora was born to the cook on a small wine-producing estate owned by Elezen Ishgardians, Lord and Lady Gipoux. Zora's mother rarely spoke about Zora's father, his death in the war or her own expulsion from her tribe. Though she grew up disconnected from her people and extended family, Zora's childhood was happy and filled with love. She spent it in the kitchen learning and playing with the other servant's children. Lord and Lady Gipoux treated Zora like a beloved grandchild.When Zora was in her teens the Lord and Lady died. Age had robbed them of their vibrancy and eventually they died within weeks of each other. The estate, however, continued on for months awaiting the arrival of their estranged son from Ishgard who had served in the Dragonsong wars. Where his parents had been kind and warm, Tomas Gipoux was cold and frequently cruel.Robbed of his 'chance at greatness' during the war, the arrogant man used his considerable wealth to explore darker and more arcane magicks. In Zora he an acolyte with magick potential but also a naive girl who was enamoured of him. It was an abusive and doomed relationship of promises, manipulations and lies. It was a fitting ending that after five moons of his torment, Tomas was eventually consumed by the dark summoning spell he cast, sending him into the void instead of summoning a minion to 'serve' him.

Not everyone gets a second chance at life. No longer the wide-eyed innocent she once was, Zora was present when the void consumed Tomas Gipoux, and the sole witness to the near destruction of the stately manor the summoning failure caused. Never one to pass up an opportunity, Zora filled her arms with Tomas's treasured objects, including a satchel of his jewels as she escaped the estate's destruction.Without an heir the estate and vinyard was sold and per the old Lord's instruction the profits divided amongst their long-time staff. All of Tomas's work to keep them in indentured servitude failed, the staff scattered across the star, free to make new lives. Zora included.Most her life she'd spent looking out the windows of the estate, dreaming of places she longed to go and reading about people she wanted to meet. When given her freedom she vowed to do just that. She took an apartment by the ocean, made wonderful friends and a lover or three and vowed to be self sufficient. Nearly a year later, the gems she'd taken were long sold, Zora put the final touches on her bakery. With a great view of the ocean, the Sunset Beach Bakery opened its doors.

Solo or with friends Zora likes to watch the fights. They inspire her to keep training and working toward her goal, to one day be skilled enough to compete.

After years of hiding or ignoring her natural affinity for aether magick, Zora has begun to embrace it. Though she's cautious about revealing her interests, she's been privately seeking tutors - even those skilled in dark magicks.
